Richard manages Stephano Slack’s Audit and Assurance practice, where he takes the lead on client engagements and is responsive to client timeframes and inquiries. Tasked with  ensuring smooth engagements and helping clients meet their goals, Richard wields his technical experience to adequately and thoroughly explain complicated rule changes in GAAP bulletins to clients and help them understand its impact on their business so they can plan as far in advance as possible.

His keen understanding of his role and scope of work makes him conscientious and dependable, working closely with his clients towards their success and inspire confidence in their key stakeholders.

Richard started his accounting career with a regional public accounting firm and later served as a controller in a private company, gaining valuable construction industry expertise. Working in and around sophisticated financial situations provided him with a valuable know-how when it comes to performing more substantive accounting tasks than he would have had at a larger firm, as well as closer and more direct client interaction that is essential to understanding client needs and building successful business relationships.

In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Whenever possible, he loves having a good round of golf. Richard is a CPA and earned his B.S. in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington. He is a member of the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants and enjoys participating in DCA and ABC association events.
